Design
Contact us and we will design the perfect costume for your program. Let’s get to know each other!
Finances
Pay in full through our website or check. This is neccessary to ensure your costumes make it by the desired time frame.
Finalize dates
After payment is recieved, we will immediately start production and we will finalize your delivery date. Usually 4-6 weeks after payment.

Make an account on our website for we can easily communicate with you.
Tell us important info such as your vision and budget. Please plan for $175+ for custom costumes.

There is a minimum of 8 costumes for custom. For in-stock costumes there are no minimums!

After you send your first email to us, we start working on a sketch for your program.
You are allowed one free full re-design per order. After this there will be a $150 re-design fee. Minor re-designs will be free of charge (ex: change of color/fabrics).
You will always have the final say. You approve the fabrics and final design. Don’t forget, this is YOUR costume!
Once the design is finalized we will begin to make a costume sample, assuming payment has been made. Sample when then need to be approved by you for production to start. Only minor edits can be made after the sample is made.

Previously designed costumes can be bought! You can change the fabrics as needed to fit your program. There is no additional charge.
The silhouette of the costume can not be changed. Only the fabrics/colors.

Early payment is very important in order to ensure your costumes get designed and produced in a reasonable time frame.
Full payment is required to start any sort of production.
You can pay through our website. We will send you an invoice and you will be able to pay through there easily.

After recieving your costumes, please try them on as soon as possible. We want to make sure we can make things right. Contact us for we can see what steps we can make to address the issue.
Please contact us within 7 days after delivery about any immediate issues.

Plume & Silk is based in Los Angeles. Costumes will be delivered directly to you or your school by us if within 60 miles from Downtown Los Angeles! No need to pay for shipping.
If you do not fit this criteria, we will communicate with you directly on costs. We will always ensure the cost is as low as possible while still fitting your time frame.

Measurments are important to do right! We will send you a measurment sheet that includes instructions on how to do each measurment.
Please minimize the amount of people measuring to ensure consistency.
Measurments should be done in inches.
Please keep in mind that Plume & Silk is not responsible for any costumes that have sizing concerns due to measurments being sent incorrectly.

Machine wash in cold water on gentle with light detergent.
Hand washing is also an option.
Hang dry afterwards.
